A car with a trunk or a trailer is an indispensable assistant when buying bulky items, going to the country or to nature, when moving. A large car trunk is very useful if you live in your own home. When using the trunk, it is necessary to observe safety precautions, which can be found in the traffic rules. If the load protrudes more than 100 cm in front and behind, and 40 cm on the sides, it must be marked with lanterns or reflectors. You can securely fasten the load on the trunk using special tie-down straps with a hook . A very practical belt, equipped with a ratchet mechanism, thanks to which you can easily tighten the belt by moving the ratchet handle. Also on sale there are belts equipped with a clip-lock, they are cheaper, but do not provide a large tightening force. Belts with a clip-lock are perfect for fastening light and non-critical cargo, as well as an element of additional cargo fixation.

Straps provide security, which cannot be said about rubber elastic bands with hooks at the ends. When transporting a straw bag, it can be secured with a rubber tie. With heavier loads such as boards, pipes, drywall, it's best not to risk it. Rubber bands with hooks fray very quickly. The rubber from which they are made is also subject to aging. The hooks of such fasteners are not designed for serious loads and can easily be unbent even with a slight load. It is recommended to additionally secure the load if you use rubber ties. This can be done with ordinary tape, if the tie is accidentally torn, it will prevent an accident.
When making a trip, before leaving, check the quality of the cargo securing and the reliability of the trunk. It will not be superfluous to make a stop on the way and once again check the reliability of securing the cargo.
