A ratchet lock or, in a popular way, a “ratchet” is the main element of the tie-down strap. The ratchet is used to tension the belt and keep it taut. The overall reliability of the tie-down strap largely depends on the quality of the ratchet mechanism.
Ratchet Ergo is different in that the belt tension occurs in the opposite direction, compared to the standard one. This makes it possible to apply more force when tensioning the belt.
